what happens after prostate is removed
Question on prostate cancer?

my dad has prostate cancer a couple of months ago. But after a couple of weeks he found out, removing the prostate and said everything was contained in the prostate. However, he returned for a checkup and they did an analysis of blood (twice), which revealed that he still had cancer. im worried about it can go. I was happy when he said that was contained cuz there was no way that could get sick or die. but now, you can enter the abdominal organs or bones? and if not he die? plz help me this is my father I'm talking about. I do not know what I would be without him.

If this means that it can spread anywhere. The most common site of metastasis is the bone. You're not giving any information that is specific to his father, but prostate cancer is slow growing. It is not uncommon for men to live with it 15-20 years and men, even when often spreads to die of something else. This does not mean that it could not die, but most do not. Chemo not used until very late in the disease and many men do not receive chemotherapy.
