Why is spending more money on Prevention / Detection of Breast Cancer is in the prostate cancer?
Twelve times more men die each year from complications of prostate cancer than women do of breast cancer complications. The money spent on prevention / Detection / cure for breast cancer is four times the money spent on prevention / detection / cure prostate cancer? What is the reason for this?
The answer is simple. Women have a better lobby and, though little known, control most of the spending in this country. In fact many more men die from complications of prostate cancer than women do of breast cancer. The cure for prostate cancer is rather radical surgery that most men and not refused. Maybe in 100 years unless drastic cure for both types of cancer was discovered and in use.
