prostate cancer treatments radiation
How many sessions of radiotherapy are the standard for prostate cancer?

I know it varies by patient, but I wondered that since a person who really matters will be somewhat less than 40 sessions. Just a radical prostatectomy with and without the widespread success was found during the surgery, but the urologist said that radiotherapy was necessary to ensure that no remaining cancer cells are left. So I also want to know if we expect the same intensity in the treatment and therefore the same intensity in the side effects from radiation …

External radiation is very focused and has few side effects. Thirty or more sessions does not sound weird. The surgery had more side effects than radiation therapy. This is a outpatient treatment and does not affect the ability to work, walk or drive.
