I put my dog to sleep on Wednesday night and I'm sad. Did I do the right thing?
He has been sick for the last month. He has toileting problems; that leaked all over the house (without control). He also had to stay in a cage much for this. His prostate was large and it would a drag to go, when he was out of it would take 15 minutes to relieve your bladder (it would only leak) did not play more with his toys, everything he did was lay around. I realized I was not feeling well. Last week the vet told me I had cancer proatate. I'm sorry that I put him to sleep. I have not able to sleep at night — we used to sleep together every night.
yes, I did the right thing. the whole purpose of put to sleep a dog is dog, because quality of life is not appropriate for him / her. when we put our dog to sleep, I was miserable too, but he made me feel better knowing that he did not suffer more.
