how to control prostate
How is it possible to have prostate cancer with a PSA of 2.8 and what are some good treatments for it?

My father was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer and his PSA was 2.8. I do not understand how this is possible if it is a low number. He is also 46 years. Also I wonder what kind of treatment is best and why. Your choices are: 1) radiation (but the problem is that it could harm other areas) 2) surgery (but this only leaves you worse, according to a book he is reading. There are a lot of trouble urinating where no one can argue that even when you laugh and also creates a problem with their sex life, etc) 3) seed implants (not really sure of the name, but put those little seeds inside of you, but again has also a side effect.) 4) only controls every 2 months (this can live 10-15 years to do nothing and just live with cancer and when it gets really bad, then try the other options above) What is the best option? please help! I would appreciate it! thank you!

I had prostate cancer in 2005. I'm fine now. I had proton radiation at Loma Linda University Medical Center in Loma Linda, California. Proton radiation is not as conventional radiation. Proton radiation has very little to no side effects .. It is very different from conventional radiation you mention in your question. Average: 90% of the energy of proton radiation treatment is delivered precisely to the exact spot being treated. The surrounding tissue and organs are not damaged. In my opinion, the proton radiation is the best prostate cancer treatment available today. It has little to either side effects and such a good rate healing if not better than the other treatments … The cure rate is about 90%, probably even a higher cure rate with a PSA as their parents … and by the way I met several men with low PSA prostate cancer that was when I was getting my treatments .. My PSA was 4.5 and a Gleason 6. My PSA is now 13 which is the point one three !!!!!!. There is a website called Proton Bob (Bob means Brotherhood of the Balloon), which says a lot about prostate cancer proton radiation. If you go to the website, please see the Evaluation section of ex-patients .. You will find that everyone who has had radiation Proton is as sold on it as I am … and why not .. without side effects and cure rate and no .. It is a decision not obvious .. I was not sick for a single day during or after my treatment and I am cured and have no damage or side effects whatsoever. Furthermore, proton radiation does not affect the functions of his body, like that of other of other treatments, I have to wear a diaper, like many who have surgery end up having to do … and all my plumbing male still works as before … if you know what I mean .. There's a new book just out that any one with prostate cancer should have. It's called You Can Beat prostate cancer and was written by Robert J. Postato Marckini a cancer survivor. He tells us much about prostate cancer in the book and speech of all treatments available today and the pros and cons of each treatment. The most important thing a parent must do, in my view is to see the options and not allow any doctor talk him into what he once treated who is trained in or offers .. That's not necessarily the best thing to do. It does not have to decide immediately. I would like take a month or so and be very sure that the treatment I wanted .. Once again, I personally think that nothing compares to the proton radiation .. Available in 4 states now .. Some doctors recommend because they dont know about that note is experimental or not want to send their patients elsewhere … a question of money! for them …. Loma Linda because of success with the program of protons in the last 17 years, some hospitals are beginning to offer it .. MD Anderson in Houston just start, Mass General in Boston, a hospital in Jacksonville, Florida and Indiana, to my knowledge .. the Proton Bob website says where they are. Any way, I hope this is useful. If you or your father have any questions about prostate cancer proton radiation, I will be happy to share my experience with you or I can provide contacts with men in your area who have had proton radiation and would be happy to share their experience with you … We are all 100% sold in treatment. Only email if you want more information. I can not do a spell check, cut my internet .. asique is These misspellings, typos and all … have a great day
