Concerned by the other HPV test.?

I have written before and everyone has been sooooo helpful. I thank all of you in this difficult situation. I decided to go with another obstetrician gynecologist who has cared for me before in my youth. The latest OB / GYN doctor seemed usually cold with information on the subject of HPV. She told me my test results and told me I had HPV high and has just returned from 1 year to a new trial because my Dad was normal. The doctor I have now, she is a woman, made me take another test for HPV and PAP. I am scared. As I relive another test. It's as if I have to keep hoping and praying that the HPV virus goes away or I will not have abnormal cells that can turn inevitably to cancer. It has made a bad mood because of this uncertainty in my life. I feel I must prepare for the worst. PS: My father died of prostate cancer that makes it difficult to look at this situation objectively.

First, you need to talk to your doctor and have your new second HPV explanation for you. that is not absolutely inevitable that you will get cancer from this, IDK, where this idea comes. almost all have HPV at some point, but how many people know they have cervical cancer, and I mean not only true cancer dysplasia. there is a difference between the two and not inevitable. indeed, if that was his first ever HPV positive and had an abnormal Pap smear, the doctor first did the right thing, you come back in a year for another Pap and HPV
