Anyone know why Benadryl warns against using if you have inflammation of the prostate?
Benadryl is an antihistamine … a very old. This has a worse side effect profile than some of the newer antihistamines such as Claritin or Zyrtec. These negative side effects of anticholinergic side effects are known. One of them includes urinary retention, which also could be aggrevated by an enlarged prostate.
