think my husband was suffering from prostatitis, but after a visit to the urologist today said he could not feel a swelling. But he went ahead and prescribe antibiotics ciprofloxacin anyway. Why? And if you exclude prostatitis What could be the diagnosis? The symptoms are the following: only a dull pain in the groin. No burning and no need for frequent to urinate or difficulty urinating that. maybe a urinary tract infection? Re-evaluate after round of antibiotics and see if they help. Good luck
